Hi, Aaron!
This morning, while doing my 1 hour drive to work, I heard the segment on NPR about you. I love to hear about people doing new things with old things, especially when it comes to creative work. Taking a haiku and using it to soothe the nerves is an age-old concept, but you have brought it to a whole new level. That's why you rock.
I hope to send you something of my own. Being a firefighter, I have a different take on it... I just might add a poem about my frustrations with people who don't move to the right when they see an engine coming!
Red lights and siren wail
I know you see and hear us
get out of the way!
Wait, is that rude? I don't mean it to be. Let me try again.
When you need our help
Pray that people move over
and yield right-of-way
That sounds dumb. How about this?
Think your car is big?
My fire engine's bigger.
Scoot to the right, please.
This is too fun! I could do this all day long, but I guess I should get back to work.
Cheers,
(and I hope you make a fortune with your book!!!!!!!!)
